Current Project

Prospective Product Timeline

Everyone, at some point, finds something to aspire to. When I was on a trip to Haiti in 2013 a simple idea that evolved into wanting to start and run a business that uses 10% of each sale to fund aid projects overseas was planted. I wanted this business to be capable of aggressively expanding so it will be able to donate $1/2 Billion each year within my lifetime (if I live to be the US average) and just maybe it could become the most charitable corporation in the world!

I know at first that the 10% would have to go to existing charities like Samaritans Purse, Christian Aid Ministries or other efficiently run charities but my end goal is to start a new non profit altogether. The way I envision this non-profit working is, first, a Facilitator in charge of new projects would go with translators to the "elders" in a community and ask what they believe is needed to help that community thrive. If they come back with an acceptable answer like clean water, better education, medical clinics, etc. then the Facilitator would ask how we could partner with them to make these things come to pass. The goal would be to make sure we never simply throw money at a problem and to let those in community have a stake in the outcome.

The non-profit would then kick into gear and bring in resources to work on the problem. Volunteers and paid professionals (depending on the situation) would be sourced from trusted Church partners around the world and even though these individuals would not be going out and actively sharing the Gospel, they would provide an opportunity for those in the community to see the light of Christ on display and I believe there would be unplanned opportunities for one on one interaction and the individuals brought in to maintain the solution would also have the opportunity to build relationships and share the story of Jesus.

I day dream about this project, scheming up every detail I can imagine.  I am trying to design the business side to run "big" from the start to avoid as many of the traditional growing pains as possible, all while operating as lean as possible while I'm a "one man show".  You can see on the other pages of this website the first in a series of brands that I am working on. Even now I'm experiencing barriers that are keeping me from getting to market as quickly as I had hoped and it isn't until the 3rd Brand in my prospective timeline which will require $7.5 million to get off the ground that it really starts making strides towards the ultimate goals of becoming the most charitable corporation in the world.

While I'm chugging along slowly to build this into reality, I've also decided to put  it out onto the internet looking for grassroots support to help make it happen. There are many platforms out there that allow you to jumpstart a business with monetary donations but at this point I've decided not to go that route. In fact, I'm not even going to quantify what support would even look like as I know God has ways of making this come to pass that I could never imagine.

Instead, I'm just going to give the next two big hurdles I have to overcome as of February 2019:

1.Finding a place that can be set up as an inspected processing facility, likely in Hampton Roads, where I can legally produce the roasted cacao grounds for resale.

2: Purchasing a specialized grinder that will process the grounds from nibs into a brewable ground (I'm currently waiting on a quote from a food processing equipment company in Florida. *March 6, 2019 update: the quote came through at $4900, I don't have this in cash so I'm looking at ways to get that purchased *Update, March 9, 2019 the Company saw this and dropped the quote to $4200 if I can pick up at their location! GOD IS GOOD!)

If you know of a way you can help clear these next two hurdles AND you feel God wants you to do so, here are the ways you can contact me. If you have questions as to why I would attempt to pursue a goal so large, I can also share that with you.
